Hi, I'm Max.

I'm 17, still in school, and I live in Nuremberg, Germany. When I'm not working on the app, I'm outside fishing or looking for beetles and insects to photograph. The rest of the time you'll find me playing theHunter: Call of the Wild. By now I have more than 1,600 hours of playtime!

Why this app exists

I've always been a grinder. At some point I wanted to keep count, and nothing fit: too complex, too clunky, or simply not available on Android. So I built my own. It started as a tiny counter that some of you might even remember. Every update since has brought great features, many of them requested by you.

How I hunt

Usually I grind for Great Ones. I mean, that's what I built an entire app for. But I really enjoy casual hunting as well. My favorite reserve is Tòrr nan Sithean, the Scotland map. It's just amazing and one of the maps I've played the most. This gorgeous goat was shot on Silver Ridge Peaks and is my absolute favorite:

What's inside

Every animal, fur and reserve name comes straight from the game data. That's why everything reads exactly like your game in all ten languages.

• Kill counters. You start a grind for an animal on a map, the same grind you started in game. Then you count with up to six counters: Normal, Diamond, Rare, Troll, Super Rare and Super Troll.
• One tap, one number. Plus and minus per counter, or +5, +20, +50 and +100 when you're catching up. Existing counts can be carried over when you create a grind.
• Statistics. With distribution charts, timelines and interval bars by hour, day or week, you can track your progress and never lose count.
• Sharing. Share your grind with your friends when it's finished, as a picture. This is one of my favorites, because you don't have to type out every number. Just send the picture right out of the app.
• Animal database. 126 animals, 19 reserves and 986 fur variants with rarity and percentage. Plus trophy thresholds for Silver, Gold and Diamond, maximum weights and activity times through the day. Exactly like in game, in every language.

What's next

New reserves and animals land in the app as soon as possible after every game update. Beyond that, I have a few plans I'm not talking about yet. Worth sticking around.
